Description:
Three programmes of video, film and computer animation from the 'new edge' of cyberpunk culture. Programme One: Access All Areas

The ramifications of the digital revolution continue to reverberate across the communications media, creating whole new areas of activity (such as the globa phenomenon of the Internet), while, at the same time, challenging many of the cornerstones of contemporary society. Two inventive video documentaries offer an exemplary guide to this rapidly-emerging and often contradictory mediascape; homing in on two cyber-culture causes celebres: the copyright-infringement court case between rock gods 112 and aural collagists Negativland, and the data protection vs. freedom of information furore stirred up by the U.S. Goverment's advocacy of the Clipper Chip.
