Description:
Together, we are a group of nine students, and Sight Specific is the result of a collaboration of our individual ideas on how we perceive our environment.

It consists of a number of monitors placed face up on the floor of the space, in random configuration. As our work has been created with the advantage of multiple viewpoints, the viewer is invited to make a path of their own choice within our installation. The imagery and sound runs on a specific time cycle, representing both what is under the surface, and the progression of time within nature. Surface' in this instance being grass, which acts as a metaphorical 'carpet' under which issues are swept, only to rise again in another manifestation.

The images and sounds which occur at intervals within the cycle of the video, are the concerns and input of each individual in the group. Through a series of discussions around the agreed theme of the installation, we have contributed to the development of each other's ideas throughout the production.
