Shown as part of "The Other Side of Zero" - a selection of video shorts.


The two personal histories of the filmmaker, a divided self as a result of his adoption. Unable to reconcile the two halves of his being, the filmmaker is drawn to Berlin, the divided city. Using rare East German archive footage and Super8 home movies, he maps his own childhood onto the history of Berlin during the time of the Wall, constructing an intricate and individual portrait of Cold War Europe.
