Description:
At a seance, three deaf people call on the spirit of their fellows past, present and future to advise them on living in a hearing world.

In this near Deaf experience the participants use Sign Language to learn from each other the means of living, and self expression.

Sign Language provides continuity for Deaf people throughout the ages, from which they draw strength and identity.
This inward looking installation requires the viewer to shoulder their way into the meeting if they are to be fully involved.
In practical terms this has been an opportunity for members of the group to learn more about technology, whilst working together with other deaf people, exploring the possibilities of video as an artistic expression.

Collaboration Programme project.
