| Biography: | Sonia Boyce lived and worked in London at the
time. She first achieved critical
acclaim as a young black figurative artist
in the mid-1980s. She has exhibited
widely and her works can be seen in
many national collections. Having also
taught extensively, she uses the
workshop environment as part of her
creative process.
