Biography: Marion Urch was born in 1957.

Marion Urch studied Fine Art at Brighton
Polytechnic and Environmental Media at
the Royal College of Art. She is currently
the distribution manager for London
Video Access. Urch has worked
extensively in all areas of video art. As
well as producing videotapes and
tape/slide works herself, she is active in
teaching, administration, distribution and
exhibition and in criticism. She was
instrumental in setting up the Women’s
Media Resource Project in Hackney and
has been closely involved with London
Video Arts, as a worker or committee
member since 1980.

Marion Urch's own work has been shown
extensively in Britain and around the
World: including galleries and festivals in
Japan, Brazil, Vienna, California and
Columbia.
