Biography: 1991
Lei Cox studied Fine Art at Sheffield City
Polytechnic in 1985 and graduated in
1987 with a first class BA(hons) degree.

He subsequently studied Electronic
Imaging at Duncan of Jordanstone
College of Art finishing in 1988. Cox has
had video works screened internationally
since 1986 including Europe, Eastern
Europe, North America, Australia and
Japan. He has broadcast his tapes in
France, Germany, The Netherlands and
the United Kingdom.

Significant events and works in
1990/91 include a one man show
at 'Montevideo' in Amsterdam in 1990
and a BBC Scotland commission
titled 'Three Unanswered Questions' to
be transmitted in 1991.
Cox specialises in sound and music
composition for television (Channel Four
and BBC), videographics, and
collaborating with other artists such as
Steve Partridge (Scotland), Jeff Keen
(England), Dave Garcia (Netherlands)
and Judith Barry (USA).

As well as making multi-screen
video installations, Cox is a
photographer and music composer. During
Video Positive, he was a lecturer with
the School of Television and Electronic
Imaging at Duncan of
Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee.
